1 Corinthians 15:6 “After that He appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep.” (NAS)
One of the most important aspects of a person’s conviction of a crime or their going free is the account of witnesses. Witnesses are people that viewed either the crime occurring, or they viewed the accused somewhere else at the time the crime was committed. Jesus had His own witnesses to the truth of His resurrection from the dead. It reports in the Bible that, after He came back to life, He was seen by over 500 people at one time. Here are your witnesses to the truth of Jesus miracle of His resurrection.
These people had viewed Jesus alive after His death on the cross. Even at the time of writing this, though some had died (fallen asleep), many were still alive and could have disputed this statement. But nobody ever stepped forward and said the meeting of the 500 plus with Jesus did not occur. Besides those that Jesus appeared to personally, here are your witnesses! Have comfort in your faith in Lord Jesus as the Son of God. What the scriptures in the Old Testament stated and as Jesus Himself reiterated, He would die on the cross and come back to life. Only God himself could do this. And He did!! Here is just more proof and reason to come to Jesus as your Lord and Savior!!
Lord, it is so awesome to hear of these fantastic facts. If it was not enough that You appeared to those you would be sending out to the world from Your own personal gathering of disciples, you also appeared to these people. What a wonderful moment that must have been for those people. Thank You for the wonderful moments You share your existence with me by allowing me to see the most precious miracle of lives changed by receiving You as their Lord and Savior. Thank You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!!
