Four Main Pillars of Juanita School

EDUCATION

We are dedicated to bring an education to the village of Jungle, Kenya, through building Juanita Girls High School that will serve the whole community.

FARMING

Juanita School will have a self-sustaining farm within the compound. Students will also acquire the necessary farming skills in order to give back to the community.

EVANGELISM

Our school is built on Christian values. Juanita School students will get an education while learning how to live by following the word of God.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Students of Juanita School will be involved with various community service projects in Jungle. These will include distributing clean water to the community as well as food and clothing for the needy.

As Board Members, Being of Like Mind, We Love God and Serve Humanity!

Love is God’s fundamental characteristic. It’s a value that is to describe our board of directors and school employees and the warmth we wish to convey to our students.
 
John 14:21: “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. My father will love the one who loves me, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
 
Excellence — We wish to pursue and do the best we can with our God given abilities. We hold ourselves, and our associates to a high standard.
 
Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord”
 
Grace – Give people more than they deserve.
Reconcile quickly. Give straight answers. II Corinthians 8:7: “But since you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you — see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
 
Gratitude – Showing appreciation for a kindness. Ephesians 5:19-20: “Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, …”
 
Hope – Is a firm assurance in God.
We believe, “If you tend to a farmer well, you will watch hope grow.” The value of hope is confident expectation, not a guarantee of immunity from harm but a conviction that God is always present.
 
Integrity – This is the quality of being honest. Having strong moral principles, a morally upright character, and  truthfulness.
Proverbs 12:22: “The Lord . . . delights in people who are trustworthy.”

Guiding Principles:

    1. Love your neighbor.
      Collaborate; embrace genuine and respectful relationships. Pursue connections with family, friends, volunteers, leaders, and staff that are accountable and authentic.
      I Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

       

      “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32: “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,” Hebrews 10:24

       

      Create good work. Do things to a high standard and without waste, using God’s resources – time, finances, natural resources – wisely; fruitfulness; take risks and trust God.

       

      Colossians 3:23-24: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

       

      Acts 20:35: “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

      “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, and serve the Lord.” Romans 12:11

       

    2. Seek Spiritual Health.

      Be humble and of good character. Being humble means recognizing, in our hearts, the truth that we really are no better than anyone else. We are not proud, arrogant, or haughty. Character is who we are because of our relationship with Christ. It is something that can be built and learned as we follow Him. Matthew 23:11-12: “The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

      “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” I Peter 5:6-7: Finally, brothers and sisters,  whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. Philippians 4:8
       
    3. Embrace teamwork.
      Build a team to carry our vision worldwide; share responsibility.: “… Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him are the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 4:8, 10-11

       

      “But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” I Corinthians 12:24b-27
