Please remember to stay safe by following the guidelines as instructed by the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) below:

  • Wash hands frequently.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing.
  • Maintain at least 1 meter distance between yourself and anyone coughing or sneezing.
  • If you have fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical care early.
  • If you feel sick, stay at home.

More information about the coronavirus can be found on the official W.H.O. website.

The safety of Juanita School’s students, teachers and staff is our number one priority and we want everyone to be safe during these times.

Gibbs Family to cut their Mission Trip Short.

As with the recent coronavirus developments, the government of Kenya has decided to take certain protocols into effect including not allowing anyone into the country from any country with a case of coronavirus.

Due to this and other developments, The Gibbs Family, has decided that it would be best for them to return back to the United States before the travel restrictions get more strict.

As first reported on their Facebook Page, The Gibbs Family have therefore decided to return to the United States on Friday the 20th of March. They were previously going to be in Kenya until April 19th but they will have to cut their trip short due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

We would like to thank the Gibbs Family for their incredible dedication and immense hard work that they have done while in Kenya. They have been helping around Juanita School and they have also been visiting other schools in the area. We are praying that they get home safely and hopefully they will be able to come back to Kenya soon.

Farewell Song

The students had planned on throwing a going away party to the Gibbs Family but with the recent updates, the students have to go home before the Gibbs Family leaves. Today, the students sang a farewell song for the Gibbs Family and as you can see below, it was not easy for some to say goodbye.

The students went home later in the day.
